Profile of a GameSpace Engineer...

Somewhere, in one of these memories...Lance J. Lewis has been a Lead Designer, Level Designer & Associate Producer for a variety of published console & PC games. He also spent way too much time -playing- video games.

On September 12th 2000, Good Deal Games was wise enough to conduct an interview with Lance, wherein he expressed opinions and beliefs about Game Design, as well as some behind the scenes stuff at Atari Corp., where he worked from 1994 to 1996.

To Quote:
999,000 POINTS!!"Games have been a big part of my life for about as long as I can remember. My family played a lot of board games when I was younger, and I did a lot of D&D as a teenager. Then as I matured, I spent countless days playing video games at home and in the arcades. "

Additionally, being a self-proclaimed authority on the classic game console Vectrex, the UK videogame magazine EDGE also interviewed Lance to get perspective and insight on this classic machine. You can find it in issue # 122, April 2003.

Browse on, and you will find a virtual record of Lance's legacy (??) to the world of Video Games...

NOTE: While working at Rocket Science Games, I built this QUAKE 1 map using the WorldCraft 3D software. It is a near accurate rendition of the 1st floor of the Rocket Science building in San Francisco, circa 1996. While obviously taking some creative liberties, I followed the actual floorplans of the building as much as possible.

This map supports both single and multiplayer gaming. Download the ZIP file and extract to your QUAKE/id1/maps directory. The rsq_readme.txt contains more information.
